“I have the kind of business and legal experience that will be of great value to the CISD Board of Trustees, but more than that, I have a deep dedication to conservative values and a commitment to serve our kids. I believe every Dragon has excellence within them, and it’s our job to help them find it.”

Meet Dudley

Dudley Jordan is a small business owner, licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner. He and his wife, Nichole, are raising two dragons. Dudley currently serves on the CISD Policy Review Committee and is a member of the Carroll Athletic Booster Club and the Dragon Touchdown Club. Previously, Dudley served on the CISD Budget Finance Committee, the district-wide Communications Focus Group and has coached Dragon Youth Football and Southlake Recreational League basketball teams. Dudley was previously a Baylor Law school adjunct professor and mock trial team advocacy coach.

CISD is a business with the highest, most noble cause: educating our children. We need school board trustees who understand how to run a business, how to manage a budget, and how to both support its employees (our teachers and staff) as well as listen and prioritize its “clients” (parents and their children). Transparency and integrity is essential, and an excellent education – without the politics  – is the CISD mission.

Dudley Jordan has every value necessary to be a conservative, business-minded CISD Trustee that we can all be proud of.

ISSUES

Teaching a Tradition of Excellence

My vision as a CISD Trustee is to provide leadership to the district to support its mission to “Inspire Excellence” in our Dragons.  I can think of no better message to kids than telling them to be excellent at whatever they choose to do. As a Trustee, I will use my experience as an attorney, CPA, certified fraud examiner and Southlake small business owner to support our administration and teachers to spread the message to every Dragon that they have excellence within them, and help them to find and achieve it.

Dragons have a strong tradition of excellence:

Our teachers, coaches and administration have been instilling excellence in our Dragons for years!  And in order to protect this tradition of excellence, we have to TEACH it!

Teachers – Teaching begins with recruiting, developing, retaining and empowering the best and brightest teachers, and then providing full support from our parents and administration.

Educate – Educating our Dragons depends on outstanding curriculum combined with other programs and opportunities that will allow our kids to fully develop and to prepare them for their next steps in life.

AccountabilityIn order to provide the best possible teaching environment, we must hold ourselves accountable by being good stewards of our finances, in treating each other with respect even when we disagree, and acting with integrity and honesty.

Curiosity and Innovation – Kids are naturally curious and fearless in their experimenting.  Harnessing and guiding that natural curiosity and need to innovate is essential in helping our Dragons find their passions.

Humanity – We are all God’s creation and part of the human condition here on earth.  As such we must insist that every Dragon be treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

We can continue our tradition of excellence in everything we do if we make sure to elect the right leaders with the upstanding values to keep us charging forward. I believe I am the right guy for the job and invite you to stand with me!
